To better protect your information and DXC resources, Global Pass enforces strong passwords. Your
password is case sensitive, and must contain:
Passphrases are also allowed. A passphrase is similar to a password in usage, but is generally longer for added security. An example method of creating an easy-to-remember passphrase is to choose two phrases, convert them to an acronym, and then combine them to create the final passphrase. For instance, “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog” becomes tqbfjotld and “Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country” becomes Nittfagmtcttaotc. Combining these two acronyms would produce the final passphrase that shall also include a number and a symbol: “Nittfagmtcttaotctqbfjotld2$”. Passphrases may contain a dictionary word in any language or slang, dialect, jargon, etc. but shall not be based on personal information (e.g., name of family member, date of birth, driver license number, etc.) In addition, you must change your DXC Global Pass password at least once every ninety (90) days. When your password is approaching an expiration date, you will receive reminders with instructions on how to change it. You cannot reuse passwords until after a minimum of six other different passwords have been used, or a minimum of 360 days have elapsed since the password was last used. |
Symantec VIP Multifactor Authentication (MFA) |
In addition to Global Pass, DXC provides a Multifactor Authentication (MFA) service to secure many corporate tools and sites. The MFA service uses Symantec VIP multifactor authentication (MFA), and is easy to use with one-click mobile and desktop options to hold the MFA credentials.
